Our only agenda for our first day in Bangkok was a family dinner. For this experience, we visited Baan Met Sai, a local Thai restaurant located in the Lak Si district of Bangkok.
Baan Met Sai, sometimes spelled as Med Sai, specializes in authentic Southern Thai Cuisine. A popular dining spot for locals and tourist alike.
The restaurant is housed in a two-storey home, giving it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is laid-back, traditional and homey.
Baan Met Sai offers a wide variety of Thai dishes, including seafood, fried dishes, curries and southern Thai favorites. Here are some of the dishes we tried:

Overall, Baan Met Sai offers authentic, affordable and enjoyable Thai food. The combination of good food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff made for a memorable dining experience. This is an ideal place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. If you are looking for a local Thai restaurant in the Lak Si area of Bangkok, Baan Met Sai is definitely worth considering.
Recommendation: For the ones I’ve tried, I would say the Prawns in Tamarind Sauce and the Stir Fried Pork Belly in Black Pepper Sauce
