Yolk, a local Thai bakehouse and tea bar known for its egg tarts. They have several branches and food stalls around Bangkok, and the one we visited was at centralwOrld.

While their specialty is egg tarts, Yolk also offers a variety of tea drinks.

For this experience, we will skip the tea and only focus on their specialty. Yolk only offer a handful of flavors but they also have seasonal flavors too. We ordered the box of 3 and got a mix of the Original Caramel, Uji Matcha and another seasonal flavor (forgot the name though :D).

What makes Yolk's egg tarts different is their use of quality ingredients, including antibiotic-free eggs, French A.O.P. butter, salted caramel butter sauce, and Madagascar vanilla, all baked in croissant dough.

The egg tarts were really good. I liked the flavorful filling, while the flaky croissant-style crust gave them a nice texture. For me, the combination of the filling and the crispy, flaky crust made Yolk's egg tarts a little different from the usual egg tarts I've tried. If you're looking for something different to try in Bangkok, I'd definitely recommend giving Yolk a try.

Recommendation: You can’t go wrong with their signature original caramel egg tart.
