Sencilla Private Villa | Infinity Pool and a Secluded Beach in San Juan, Batangas

Sencilla Private Villa is a new private resort with an infinity pool hidden in the sloping hill of San Juan, Batangas. Bounded by lush trees with a view of the sea, Sencilla Private Villa is a perfect place to relax and recharge.

Sencilla Private Villa is in the remote area of San Juan, Batangas. It is accessible via a narrow unpaved road. The villa doesn’t have a signage but you can easily spot it as long as you follow the instruction of the host. If you are familiar with Casa Amara, then this villa is nearby.

The main structure has a modern minimalist design with 2 rooms that can accommodate around 16 pax.

Sencilla Private Villa also has an open air dining and kitchen. Complete with all the essential appliances, kitchenware and a grill.

Adjacent to the dining area is the infinity pool.

Sencilla Private Villa also has a beach access but this is through a narrow path with uneven steps to the beach. The beach has a cream coarse sand, covered with corals and seashells.

On our first night, we requested to setup a bonfire for smores.

We also visited another beach late afternoon the next day. This is accessible by car with around 10-15 minutes’ drive on an unpaved road. Some parts have steep incline. Similar to the previous beach, this one also has a cream color sand and rocky shore. It was already late when we arrived and the current was already strong. I wasn’t able to check the underwater scene of this area.

We’ve spent a 3 day 2 nights in Sencilla Private Villa but felt like an overnight stay. Time really flies when you’re having fun.

Recommendations: Sencilla Private Villa is accessible from Manila but the place feels pretty remote. A great place for a weekend escape. Plus the host and the caretakers were accommodating. They made sure that our stay in Sencilla Private Villa was a memorable one.

Tip: During our visit, the welcome gifts were kapeng barako and sparkling juice.

• There are no signal in the area, just follow the instructions of the host to get to the villa.

• There’s a dedicated parking space just outside Sencilla Private Villa.  

• Bring all the food and supplies you need. The nearest convenience store is 20 minutes away.

• No corkage for food and drinks. If you don’t want to cook, they have contacts where you can order food.

• Sencilla Private Villa allow pets. Be sure to inform the host if you plan on bringing your pet.

• No signal here but they offer a free wifi in the villa.

• Going to the beach is a struggle but I recommend especially if you’re into snorkeling. The underwater life here is amazing. Schedule your visit morning until past noon. The current is strong late afternoon.

• The beach is rocky with a lot of pebbles and corals you may struggle walking barefoot especially during low tide.

• We paid 29,000.00 for 2 nights for 13 pax or 2,230.00 per pax.
