Pang Cha | Must-try Thai Tea Dessert Shop in Thailand

One of the highlights of my Bangkok food experience was trying Pang Cha, a popular dessert shop known for its modern take of the world-famous Thai Milk tea.
Based on what I found, Pang Cha started as a special dessert at Luk Kai Thong restaurants in 2009. Then, it quickly became so popular that it eventually grew into its own dessert brand. What makes Pang Cha different from other Thai tea shops is that their signature tea, is made from a blend of five different tea varieties, freshly brewed every day.
As of this writing, Pang Cha has more than 10 branches across Bangkok, mostly located within the city’s major shopping malls. During this trip, we visited the following:

Pang Cha is best known for its take on a local treat called Pang Yen. It is a Thai shaved ice dessert topped with milk, syrup and bread cubes. While it looks tempting, we decided to skip it since it was meant to be shared and a bit expensive for just the two of us.
Instead, we tried a few of Pang Cha’s offerings:
Whipping Mousse Thai Tea Royal – Dark Choc Ball - 165 Baht
Royal Thai Milk Tea with 3 kinds of Boba - 170 Baht.
Royal Thai Milk Tea – Ice Special with Coconut Meat - 95 Baht
Among the drinks we tried, the Whipping Mousse Thai Tea Royal – Dark Choc Ball stood out. It was an instant hit and became my favorite dessert/drink in Bangkok. The Royal Thai Milk Tea with 3 kinds of Boba, was also a great choice. It gives a unique experience because of the crunchy and chewy texture of the pearls and glass jelly. What I liked most was that their drinks weren’t overly sweet or too milky. Instead, it had a rich and strong Thai Tea flavors.
I highly recommend trying Pang Cha at least once if you are visiting Bangkok, Thailand. Whether you're a fan of Thai milk tea or simply looking for a refreshing dessert to beat the heat, it's an experience that's well worth adding to your food itinerary.
