Thailand

Thailand Travel Guide

Thailand is a destination I keep coming back to for its food, shopping, temples, and the different experiences you can enjoy around Bangkok. From trying local Thai dishes and exploring shopping malls to visiting historic temples and taking a river cruise, there's plenty to do even if you're not trying to squeeze every attraction into one trip.

Our guides focus mainly on Bangkok, based on our actual visits. We've also explored Ayutthaya on a day trip. You'll find our itineraries, restaurant reviews, hotel experiences, and practical tips to help you plan your own Thailand trip, including our experience traveling with a baby.

Thailand Destinations

Here are some of the destinations I've visited and covered in this site.

Bangkok

If this is your first time visiting Thailand, start with our Bangkok travel guide. Our recent family trip was intentionally relaxed, with time for shopping, food trips, temples, and spending time together rather than following a packed itinerary.

Our Bangkok itinerary covers several areas of the city, including the Chao Phraya River, the Siam shopping district, ICONSIAM, Song Wat, Chinatown, Chatuchak Weekend Market, and the EM District.

We traveled during Songkran in April, so the heat and water celebrations affected some of our plans. The experience reinforced the importance of keeping your schedule flexible, especially when traveling with a baby.

Things to Do in Bangkok

Bangkok offers a mix of historic landmarks, shopping malls, markets, and river experiences. Here are some of the places we've visited and covered in our guides.

Temples and Cultural Attractions

  • Wat Pho: Visit the famous Reclining Buddha and explore the temple grounds.

  • Ayutthaya: Consider a day trip from Bangkok if you're interested in historic temple ruins.

Shopping Malls and Markets

Bangkok has shopping destinations for different budgets, from affordable fashion and weekend markets to large lifestyle malls.

Chao Phraya River Cruise

A river cruise is another way to see Bangkok from a different perspective. We joined a sunset cruise during our trip.

South Korea Travel Guide FAQ

Traveling with a Baby in South Korea

Traveling with a baby in Seoul requires some extra planning, particularly during winter. Pack layers suitable for the weather and allow time for feeding, naps, and warming up indoors.

A stroller can be useful, but some subway stations and pedestrian routes may involve stairs or longer walks. Check station accessibility and consider bringing a baby carrier as an alternative.

We chose a private guided tour for convenience while traveling with a baby and seniors. It made transport easier, but following a fixed schedule was not always ideal around feeding times and naps. If flexibility is important to your family, consider a DIY itinerary with fewer stops.
