MoMo Café is the main restaurant of Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun. It offers all-day dining, but for this blog, I’ll be sharing our buffet breakfast experience, as we had an opportunity to try it for five consecutive days.

MoMo Café features a spacious dining area with a view of the Namdaemun Street, an open kitchen and interactive live stations setup.

The buffet spread includes a mix of international fare and local Korean cuisines. The buffet area are organized into several sections:

Pastries
Salads and cold cuts
Soups
Mains dishes
Egg station
Ramen section
Desserts and fruits
breverage section

My favorite plate during our MoMo Café experience was the plain croissants from the pastry section, paired with homemade cream cheese, brie, cold cuts and smoked salmon.

MoMo Café also offers around 12 main dishes, featuring a combination of classic breakfast staples and local Korean flavors.

At the interactive ramen station, guest can customize their noodles. There is also a recommended MoMo Ramen, although I didn’t get a chance to try it.

One unique feature in MoMo Café is the dedicated Nutella section, which I think, is perfect for kids.

Based on our experience, the food was consistently good throughout our stay. I particularly enjoyed the pastries cold cuts and cheese. I also appreciated that they allow to-go options for certain buffet items such as coffee, desserts and fruits. The staff were friendly and accommodating. One thing I noticed is that MoMo Café has rotates two different buffet spreads on alternate days, which is good especially if you stay for more than two days.

Recommendation: The Korean dishes and the smoked salmon.

Tip: Arrive early and expect a queue if you come after 8:00 AM. I usually ask for to-go cups after breakfast so I can have an extra caffeine boost for the day.
