To escape the afternoon heat, we returned to the city and spent some time at Siam Paragon, the first world-class shopping destination and one of the most popular luxury shopping center in Bangkok. Strategically located in Rama 1 Road just in front of Siam BTS station.

Siam Paragon has 6 floors including the basement featuring local brands, international high-end brands and massive dining options. The unique feature or offering of Siam Paragon I’ve noted are the Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World at the Basement and the Nextopia and the Paragon Cineplex which has 4D cinemas at the top floor.

Weird that I don't have a good photo of this mall :D

Gourmet Eats

During our first visit, we had lunch at Gourmet Eats, Siam Paragon’s famous food court. This food hall is popular because it brings together several famous local restaurants and a number of Michelin-recognized eateries and food stalls all in one roof.

This is actually our first time trying a food court in Bangkok. Before ordering, you’ll need to buy/top-up a prepaid card, which you’ll use at the food stalls and eateries. Any unused balance can easily be refunded before you leave.

Our first stop was the iconic Thipsamai, the oldest and most famous Pad Thai restaurant in Thailand.

Our next restaurant was Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded restaurant famous for its Thai-style Hainanese chicken rice.

Dessert at Jian Cha

To cool down, we ended our meal with drinks from Jian Cha, a premium tea shop specializing in fruit and milk teas located on the upper floor of Siam Paragon.

Second Visit to Siam Paragon

We found ourselves back at Siam Paragon later in the trip. This time, we took things slow, explored more of the mall and returned to Gourmet Eats for dinner.

Instead of going back to the same restaurants, we tried Charm Samsen Villa, a casual dining restaurant that serves authentic Thai dishes based on the popular and signature dishes from the Samsen Villa Restaurant. It's a great option if you're looking to enjoy traditional Thai flavors in Siam Paragon.

After dinner, we headed to EATELIER zone on the 4th floor, an upscale dining hub featuring popular restaurants and dessert shops in Thailand.

Before calling it a night, we stopped by Pang Cha for their Thai Milk tea inspired desserts.

  • For breastfeeding moms, don’t forget to bring a cover so you can do it anywhere convenient and comfortable.
