Thipsamai, the oldest and most famous Pad Thai restaurant in Thailand. Started operating last 1939 along the Phasi Charoen Canal, this iconic restaurant has grown into a well-loved brand with several branches across Thailand.
While Thipsamai is best known for its signature Pad Thai, they now also offer ready-to-cook products, including cup noodles, cooking paste and sauces.
For this experience, we tried their food stall at Gourmet Eats in Siam Paragon.
We ordered two types of their signature dishes:
Pad Thai with River Prawns wrapped in Omelet - 169 Baht
Pad Thai Siam Royal (with squid) - 249 baht
Note: Prices may change with prior notice.
Both dishes were packed with flavor and generous portion size. For just 418 Baht, we had a satisfying meal that easily lived up to Thipsamai’s reputation.
If it's your first time visiting Bangkok, I highly recommend adding Thipsamai to your food itinerary. Whether you visit their original branch or one of their mall locations like Siam Paragon, it's one of those iconic Bangkok food experiences that's well worth trying.
