Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice (Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam), a Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded restaurant has been serving its signature chicken rice since around 1960, along Phetchaburi Road. Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice expanded to five branches across Bangkok.
During our trip, we visited their food stall at Gourmet Eats in Siam Paragon. Even inside the food hall, there was quite a long queue, which is a good sign.
Although Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice is best known for its signature Thai-style Hainanese chicken rice, they also serve a variety of classic Thai dishes.
Since we had already sampled a few dishes from Thipsamai, we decided to keep it simple and ordered just one dish. With this, we ordered Mixed Chicken Rice (95 Baht), which comes with both steamed and crispy fried chicken. It's a great option if you want to try the best of both.
Our order came with a generous serving of rice, cucumber slices, and a portion of liver. Both the steamed and fried chicken were tender, juicy, and flavorful.
While we haven’t fully tried the offerings of Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice, The meal was simple but after trying it ourselves, we understood why this place become a favorite among both locals and tourist.
If you're looking for an affordable yet satisfying meal in Bangkok, Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice is definitely worth a visit. It's a great place to experience one of Thailand's most popular chicken rice dishes without spending too much. Whether it's your first time in Bangkok or you're simply craving a comforting local meal, this is a restaurant that's well worth adding to your itinerary.
