Konchong Konprung is a Thai-Chinese restaurant in Phaya Thai known for its homestyle comfort food. Konchong Konprung was awarded as Michelin Bib Gourmand award from 2020 to 2023.

While the main branch is located in Phaya Thai, Konchong Konprung also has a few food stalls around Bangkok. The one we tried was at Parkside Market in Dusit Central Park.

Konchong Konprung serves a variety of Thai-Chinese comfort food. Some of their specialties include Pickled Plum and Garlic Soup with Minced Pork, Cabbage Soup with Pork Ribs and Shitake.

For this experience we tried Five-spiced pork belly stew with salted egg, which costs 178 Baht. The pork was very tender and came with a rich and flavorful sauce.

This dish was very tasty and paired really well with rice. The serving was also enough for two people, making it a good and affordable option if you are looking for a simple and homey Thai-Chinese meal while exploring Bangkok.

Recommendation: Their signature dish Tom Buay Kratiam Dong Moo Sub or Pickled Plum and Garlic Soup with Minced Pork

Tip: If this is your first time trying a food court in Bangkok, Thailand, best to buy from different food stalls to maximize your experience. If this is your first time exploring a food hall in Bangkok, try ordering from different food stalls instead of getting everything from one place. This way, you can sample more dishes and make the most of your food trip
