Maji Curry, a popular Japanese curry restaurant chain and winner of the Kanda Curry Grand Prix in 2018. Maji Curry started in Japan and has since expanded internationally, with branches in Singapore, the US and Thailand. As of this writing, they have three branches in Thailand, and the one we tried was their food stall in EmSphere Bangkok.

Maji Curry specializes in Japanese curry dishes, but they also offer some salads. You can choose your curry base, either beef or chicken, as well as your preferred spice level and toppings. You can also choose the serving size depending on how hungry you are.

Their bestseller are the ones with cheese sauce, but for this experience, I decided to try a medium Tonkatsu Omelet Curry, which costs 295 Baht.

The tonkatsu, omelet and curry sauce all blended really well together. It was a good and satisfying dish. The serving size was also generous, and even the medium order was already enough to fill me up. With this, I think the price was reasonable for the portion and quality of the dish.

If you are craving Japanese curry in Bangkok, Maji Curry should definitely on your list, especially if you’re visiting EmSphere.
