Brasserie on 3 | Themed Night Buffet in Conrad Manila
In this food blog, we will explore another buffet restaurant in Manila. Brasserie on 3 is the award winning all-day dining restaurant of Conrad Manila. Beyond the awards, Brasserie on 3 is a restaurant committed to locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients as part of their environmental responsibility.
Brasserie on 3 has modern interior with wooden features. The high ceiling paired with proper lighting displays an elegant vibe. The spacious dining area is divided into multiple sections, which includes an open-kitchen with live cooking stations and a view of Manila Bay.
Brasserie on 3 offers the Chef’s Signature or a gourmet themed nights by their Executive Chef Warren Brown. The themed nights include: La Dolce Vita on Mondays, Simply Thai on Wednesdays, BBQ Night on Fridays and Seafood Night on Saturdays. We had the opportunity to their Simply Thai themed night, scheduled on Wednesdays. A night which mainly focused on Thai cuisines while offering few alternative options, such as, sushi, indian, charcuterie and a station dedicated for Bulalo.
As always, I start my buffet experience from the Japanese station. During our visit, Brasserie on 3 only has 6 variaties of Maki, with no Sashimi in sight. Though limited, the good thing about it is that I have plenty of room for their featured cuisines.
Curious about their charcuterie station, I sampled small portions of the cold cuts and cheeses.
Now, for the main attraction - the Thai dishes. For salad, Brasserie on 3 offers 5 Thai salad options. Tried the Pomelo Salad, Beef Salad and Green Mango Salad.
As for the main courses, Brasserie on 3 presents a delightful selection of Thai favorites. My top picks are Green Thai Beef Curry and the Satay.
I was also impressed that Brasserie on 3 offers a delicious steak.
One thing that sets Brasserie on 3 apart from other buffet restaurant was the Sustainable Seafood Corner. Not every buffet restaurants includes lobster in their offerings, so in this experience, I took full advantage of the opportunity to indulge in several of these lobsters.
Then for dessert, there were variations of Thai inspired desserts.
Skipped those and went for the home-made coffee ice cream.
In summary, while Brasserie on 3’s buffet spread was limited, the quality and the flavors exceeded my expectations. The unlimited lobster, which is not typical in a buffet restaurant in Manila, made the experience even better. In addition, I also like that Brasserie on 3 was not crowded, which made the atmosphere intimate. Making it an ideal choice for a more private gatherings.
Recommendation: Sustainable Seafood Corner, Steak and the Green Thai Beef Curry
Tip: Price of Simply Thai and La Dolce Vita themed nights are lower than BBQ Nights and Seafood Nights.
