Tsokolateria Artisinal Cafe | Cacao Haven in Greenbelt 5, Makati

Tsokolateria Artisinal Café is a unique café known not just for a cup of hot Tsokolate but also for its creative fusion dishes that incorporate the flavors of cocoa. One of our go-to cafés in Tagaytay and last 26 September 2023, Tsokolateria opened a branch in Greenbelt 5, Makati.

Tsokolateria is located beside the 2nd floor entrance of Greenbelt 5 (coming from the walkway). Its floor-to-ceiling windows provides a clear view of the cozy atmosphere within. The café offers a mix of standard and high tables.

Tsokolateria offers an array of fusion dishes from pasta, all-time Filipino favorites, and a variety of other options.  What sets Tsokolateria apart, is the creative use of cacao as an ingredient or garnish in most of the dishes.

We always start our Tsokolateria experience with a cup of hot Tsokolate. This is served in a traditional way, with a silver pot and a batirol. We prefer their Tsokolate Eh which is the bitter version.

Moving to the main course, I decided to order one of the best-seller of Tsokolatria, the Cacao Smoked Black Palabok. This unique palabok features a black noodles, topped with seafood and a perfectly poached egg. This is a must-try :D

We also got the Torched Mais at Quezong Puti Pasta. This is a vegetarian option but we opted to add Cacao Smoked Bacon.

To complete our Tsokolateria experience, we ordered Bibingka, Quezo at Itlog na Maalat under their Pancake Souffle option.

Tsokolateria also serve freshly baked pastries for those who prefer a lighter snack.

To summarize our experience, Tsokolateria is a tried and tested café which serve great food and tsokolate. The only drawback we observed is the limited space which felt a little bit cramped. We appreciate the presentation of the dish on a wooden chopping board. However, it became challenging especially with multiple orders since the table was relatively small. Other than that, Tsokolateria Artisinal Café comes highly recommended.

Recommendation: Aside from Tsokolate, Cacao Smoked Black Palabok, Bibingka, Quezo at Itlog na Maalat Pancake Souffle

Tip: Reserve a table or schedule your visit during off-peak.
