This blog is for our coffee lover readers or those who is looking for a coffee spot outside the Metro. Our destination is Cavite, since it is just south of Metro Manila, which is pretty accessible and ideal for a quick road trip or a staycation.

  1. Silid | Silang, Cavite

Silid is a local café specializing Filipino fusion dishes and drinks, using popular local flavors and incorporating them into international cuisine. We tried several of their specialty coffee but my top pick is Silid Shakerato, an iced shaken coffee with panucha as sweetener.

2. Buff Coffee Club | Bacoor, Cavite

Buff Coffee Club is a hidden coffee shop in Town & Country West, Bacoor, Cavite. Sits on top of Primo Shine HQ Building. Buff Coffee Club. Aside from coffee, Buff Coffee Club serves hearty meals, pasta, and pastries. For coffee, tried one of the best-sellers under the Buff Crafted Drinks selection: Buff Me Up!, a mix of three shots of espresso, milk and white chocolate sauce.

Siglo Farm Café is a small, charming café of Paraiso Farm Resort in Indang, Cavite. The cafe offers a delightful alfresco setup featuring gazebos placed throughout the garden. Siglo Farm Café offers coffee, dishes, freshly baked bread and pastries. Here we tried their Iced Caramel Macchiato.

4. Kap'ean | Alfonso, Cavite

Kap'ean is a 2 storey coffee shop inside Abagatan ti Manila hidden in Alfonso, Cavite. Kap’ean has a a modern structure / design seamlessly blends with the lush natural surroundings. Kap’ean menu includes a wide selection of Hot and Cold coffee based drinks, frappes, refreshers, teas, sandwiches, pastas and appetizers. We tried their Smoked Shakerato, a signature coffee from their iced beverage selection which features four shots of espresso.

Brewing Method by Loft is a small coffee shop associated with the Loft Tagaytay hidden in Mendez, Cavite. Brewing Methods by Loft offers a variety of drinks including coffee based drinks, cocktails and specialty coffees. We sampled the Orange Americano Fusion - a combination of Americano coffee and orange juice.

Kura Café (spelled as KVRA ) is a local coffee shop that serve quality coffee and pastries at an affordable price. Kura Café offers an array of drinks, not just limited to coffee. In addition to drinks, they also serve pasta, rice meals and sandwiches. We sampled the cold version of the Barista Blend Specialty.
