Here are the speed test results from different locations:

While exploring the historic walled city of Intramuros. Download speed: 167 mbps, Upload speed: 10.4mbps.

In Makati, the Central business district. Download speed: 135.4 mbps, Upload speed: 4.69mbps.

Lastly In Tagaytay. Download speed: 44.4 mbps, Upload speed: 2.32mbps.

The only downside is that the eSIM solution is only applicable to those carrier-unlocked and eSIM compatible devices. To check compatibility, dial “*#06# “. If an EID number appears, your device supports eSIM.

Overall Verdict:

While the Internet speed in the Philippines may not match those in some firist-world countries, the connection provided by Ubigi was stable and sufficient for the usual activities such as: browsing the net, posting on social media, streaming Youtube and Netflix. After testing, Ubigi Travel eSIM for more than a week, I can say it provides a simplified, seamless and cost effective internet access. Its flexible data plans and global coverage make it an excellent choice for travelers looking for a reliable travel eSIM.
