The Pigpen | Must-try Fusion Restaurant in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Searching for a new restaurant to try in Nuvali, we stumbled upon The Pigpen. Situated just near the activity center of Ayala Solenad 3, the restaurant has a low-key facade compared to the other restaurants in the area.
Based on what I’ve researched, The Pigpen is one of the three restaurants under Urban Artisan Kitchen. Currently, they have 2 branches, the other one is in Commerce Alabang.
The Pigpen in Nuvali has indoor and outdoor dining. Inside, it has a modern, industrial aesthetics with black, grey and wood finish. Even with a dark theme, the restaurant was well lighted because of the glass wall.
The Pigpen is a restaurant, a bar and a pizza place that serves Asian fusion dishes and artisan sourdough pizzas.
Since we didn’t have a clue about this restaurant, we went and order their best-sellers.
Pork Belly Kimchi is a pan-fried pork belly with a generous serving of home-made kimchi on the side. Partnered it with Kimchi Rice.
Crispy Pork & Hoisin, served with sweet and salty oriental sauce. Matched it with their garlic and calamansi rice.
We also ordered The Pigpen Skewers, perfect for a bar bites but we added it to our mains.
The meat in their dishes were soft and juicy. Food were flavorful and well presented.
We liked the food so much that we also tried their Authentic Artisan Sourdough Pizzas. Ordered Smokey Chicken BBQ for takeout. It was great.
Note: if you plan to order pizza for takeout, do note that the quality of the pizza box is not the best. The base of the box gets moist and becomes soggy.
Recommendations: Crispy Pork & Hoisin, The Pigpen Skewers and Authentic Artisan Sourdough Pizzas.
Tip: Aside from the Authentic Artisan Sourdough Pizzas, you can order party platters, breads, meal kits and more through urban artisan kitchen website.

The Pigpen accepts walk-ins.
